UDAVI is a registered, non-profit, voluntary organization established in 1993. Since its inception, UDAVI has been actively engaged in various developmental activities for the most marginalized, underprivileged, and vulnerable people in the community. Our major interventions include:

We are currently collaborating with Greater Chennai Corporation to implement a shelter for urban homeless women and constructing low-cost houses for 51 gypsy families across four villages in Chengalpet District. Additionally, we provide digital (computer) learning and life skills education for rural school children and unemployed youth in Chithamur, Madhuranthagam Block, Chengalpet, and income generation programs in resettlement areas at Kannagi Nagar and Perumbakkam. Our efforts also include rehabilitation for the Irular community, intercultural exchange programs among international and Indian youth, and income generation programs and educational support for rural mothers.
Our activities span rural, urban, and suburban areas of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpet, and Thiruvallur districts in Tamil Nadu, South India.
